Job title S&OR Risk Advisor
Role synopsis The Director Safety & Operational Risk (S&OR), Risk Champion leads on risk management processes in the Angola Region. Reporting to the Director S&OR Risk Champion this is full time role to support implementation and management of the risk management activities in the Angola Region.
This is a development role, providing an opportunity to develop key skills in risk management within the Angola Region. It is also an opportunity to work within the S&OR Function, and develop understanding of the key role risk management plays in the business.
The Risk Advisor will also be expected to use their own technical expertise to support the management of risks.

Key accountabilities . Lead development of the S&OR Function Risk Register (act as S&OR Function Risk Champion)
. Performance manage delivery of the Group Risk Action Plans
. Provide coaching to the organisation in Group Defined Practice 3.1 and Upstream Guidance 3.1 requirements
. Co-ordinate Angola Region Risk Champion Calls
. Provide assurance of data being inputted into the Risk Assessment Tool (RAT)
. Provide technical input and challenge into emerging risk classification, barrier identification and development/ close out of risk action plans
. Participate in Production Division Risk Community of Practice calls
Essential Education . Degree or equivalent qualification.
Essential experience and job requirements . Experience of working in Major Accident Hazard Industries
. Degree or equivalent qualification.
. Demonstrate good understanding of OMS
. Excellent interpersonal skills / ability to work with a wide range of people.
. Excellent verbal communication and written skills.
Other essential skills and knowledge
Desirable criteria and qualifications . Successful delivery of technical roles (S&OR, Operations, Wells, Resource) within the Angola Region
. Accreditation with a relevant professional institution.
. Experience of working in emerging areas and cultures
. Knowledge of risk management, and risk management tools
. Experience of working in emerging areas and cultures
