HSE Site Specialist
at Haztek International in Brazil

Position: HSE Site Specialist - with electrical security experience and Hazardous energy control - (Lock Out Tag Out)+ able to manage MV/HV, LOTO procedures, Permit to work systems.
Location: Brazil
Start: February 2012
Contract Length: 9 months
Rotation: to be confirmed
My client is a specialist in power conversion technology and conversion and automation systems.
They are currently looking for a HSE Specialist with electrical security experience and Hazardous energy control - (Lock Out Tag Out) - able to manage MV/HV, LOTO procedures, Permit to work systems and knowledge of local Brazilian legislation.
Some of the duties and responsibilities:
-Implement of the Corporate and Petroleum HSE Management System
-Able to work effectively at various levels within the organization
-Requires excellent understanding of health and safety in Construction / Electrical installation
-Must be a team player
-Ability to work independently to determine priorities and manage multiple assignments in a self-directed manner
-The HSE specialist is a hands-on role, responsible for providing Health Safety and Environment support and technical guidance in implementing the Industrial safety, with a special focus on electrical safety across the site. In addition, the position will ensure compliance with all applicable client HSE program requirements and Brazilian legislation.
-Support functions and businesses on all aspects of health and safety aspects as applicable to site activities.
-Support different functions with safety plans, safety documentation and HSE training such as LOTO, confined space, Electrical Safety.
-Co-ordinate activities with the project/facilities/ contractor staff, ensuring that EHS requirements are implemented at the site, especially with respect to electrical safety as per Brazilian and international standards.
-Undertake Safety Observation Tours and audits and inspections at the site for identification of hazards and ensuring that the assets are properly maintained to client standard
